Final grammar and edit needed for new book…

I need one qualified volunteer to read over the new book “A part time plan for massive success” and give it a final edit. You have 2 days to complete the project.

Post a brief qualification comment (50 words or less) under this post and we’ll send it over to you. Note - we only need one volunteer and we’ll chose from among the first 6 that respond. If you see more than 6 comments from different people it means that we are no longer taking apps. You will be the first in the world to read my next best seller…and have my gratitude.  :0)

    Jim,

I’d love to give your new book a final edit for you.

Regarding my qualifications, I’m a Programming Manager at a local Indian casino in the San Diego area. I have been published in Indian Gaming Magazine (”Improving Inter-Departmental Communications” http://www.indiangaming.com/magazine/?m=34) and have a good eye for grammar (as in your mistaken “chose” instead of “choose”). :-)

My wife and daughter are returning from a trip to Sacramento today and I’m sure my wife will be happy to “proof my proof”. She has been an eBay PowerSeller and I know she would enjoy the read very much (eBay Seller oceanboundbooks).

SO maybe it’s fate that I came across your email at this very moment, eh? I’ve got the day off (today is my “Sunday”). So I’d be happy to get started right away!

    Sincerely,

    Patrick Donovan

Hi, I would love to edit your new book. I was a proof reader at a job I had in the 80\’s (so I guess I am telling on my age).

I really love English and grammer. It is unbelievable to me the amount of errors that are passed over in advertisements for magazines, books, and other costly publications. I really do wish that companies would really take the time to make sure that every written word in a publication is spelled correctly and that correct grammer is used. I would make sure that your book was edited to the best of my ability.

Could you please tell me how many pages your book is?

     [[reply from Jim]] 65 pages

    Hi Jim;

I would like to volunteer my time for a couple of days to edit, spell and grammer check your new ebook.

I have experience writing and editing (I have authored two ebooks myself) and am familiar with the hassles associated with editing.

In addition, I have several of your products and am a big fan!

Let me know if I may help,

    Chip

    Jim,
I would be pleased to edit your book for you. It pleases me to know that you do not think that spell-checking will catch every error. Most errors can be avoided if someone actually reads the text.

    Best regards,
    Ann

    Hi Jim,
I would enjoy proofing your new book. I am a retired science and math teacher who insisted on science papers that were corrected for spelling and grammar.
As for my own writing experience, for five years I wrote features and covered the local political scene for a small weekly newspaper. At twenty-five cents per column inch, it really was a labor of love.
I’m pretty sure I can still spot misspelled words and verbs in the wrong tense.
My latest favorite read? “Eats, Shoots and Leaves” and I’m looking for a copy of “The Meaning of Ting”

    Jim,
I started in the newspaper business in 1947, semi-retired six years ago to plant an orchard and relax. Friends often kid me about only reading to find the errors.
Have enjoyed and profited from your book. I’d be happy to volunteer a couple of days to your project. Godspeed in all your endeavors. Jim Reed in the Texas Hill Country

    Hello Jim:
It will be my pleasure to edit your new book. I still work and do not have much time during the week but certainly can do it over the weekend.
I have a degree in English Lit., was editor of my school paper, had short stories published in various school pubs and spent many years in the book publishing business. Grammar, syntax and punctuation are my specialty. It bugs me to see so much poorly written/edited material on the ‘Net.
Whatever you decide, good luck with the book and thanks for making the effort to publish a top-flight product.

Oh, by the way everyone… It looks like you all are great fans of Jim’s stuff. So am I. If you don’t have all of Jim’s stuff, or have not seen much of it, PLEASE invest the time and money to engage in anything Jim suggests. He is the most genuine internet/ebay marketing person I’ve come across on the net. I trust him implicitly. I can’t edit the book because, unfortunately, I’m just too busy, but I thought I’d pass along the thoughts because I truly respect Jim’s sincerity and integrity.
Take care Jim and I can’t wait to read the new book!

Although you already have more than 6 responses, I figure I’ll never get anywhere if I don’t at least give it my best try - you can’t say yes or no if I don’t ask. So I’m asking - can I participate? Office Manager for 30 years, proofing work of office staff each day. Most importantly - enjoy reading your great ideas for success!

It’s great to see so many qualified individuals volunteering to edit your book and also great that you want it done right.
I get irritated when I see misspelling on websites and emails so thanks for caring.
