Inspirational success…

One of the greatest pleasures I get out of teaching others about online auctions (eBay) and Internet income strategies is to hear success stories.

I think all entrepreneurs are motivated and inspired by the success of others, but it is especially rewarding when the person succeeding gives you full or partial credit for their success. That’s why I always encourage everyone that succeeds online to consider teaching others to do it too! Not only is it profitable to do so, but it is VERY rewarding.

For example last week I had a great conversation with a great guy named Rob. Rob is one of the MOST successful eBay sellers in the game right now. He’s handling more transactions per week than any other eBay seller (think tens of thousands) and he credits my ideas for helping him get there. He runs a small business (it’s truly not a huge operation -it’s just his wife and a couple of friends running the whole show!) and he’s doing VERY well!

He’s starting to implement many of the “multiple streams” concepts to protect his future online income. Smart move.

His success story reminds me of the story behind the 4 minute mile run. For years it was assumed incorrectly that a 4 minute mile run was IMPOSSIBLE.  Then on May 6th, 1954 Roger Banister ran the first ever sub-four-minute mile in recorded history. He cut it REAL close coming in at 3 minutes 59.4 seconds. After years of everyone assuming it couldn’t be done it happened…and then guess what happened about six weeks later? A different guy did the same thing setting a new sub-four minute record.

What does this have to do with eBay?

I think most people assume that in order to have a massively successful eBay business you have to have a huge operation with a bunch of employees and hassles. This isn’t true and as you meet great guys like Rob you’ll see that it really can be done…and this will inspire many to follow in the same path.

You can do this - eBay truly is the greatest opportunity of our lifetimes. I believe that 100%.

Don’t think that you have to have a full-time operation to pull this off though. Many VERY successful Internet/eBay entrepreneurs are putting in just a few hours per week and making a killing. I teach both full-time and part-time strategies (i.e. check out PartTimePlan.com).

The only missing ingredient is taking action - what have you done to move your business forward lately?

(P.S. I’ll be telling you more about the “top eBay seller” that I’ve been talking to…he’s got some great ideas that he’s agreeing to share with us!)

Thanks for sharing this inspirational story (both of Roger Banister and of Rob) I’ve long said that your ideas are a true secret weapon for eBay success. I look forward to hearing more of the ideas he shared with you!

Can’t wait to hear more of the story. The fact that this guy is still working with just his wife and a few friends is VERY encouraging. Would love to know how he got started and the steps along the way, both successful and not. And of course, what he is doing now and how he is implementing your strategies.

Thanks Jim. Great story. I like the way you wrapped up this post: “What action have you taken?” If I applied 1/10 of the energy I have burned “analyzing” things to death, toward some ACTIONS, I would probably be well on my way to meeting my goals for an online business. This post pushed me over the edge. I am taking ACTION :-) I will keep you posted.

I’ve heard the story of the 4-minute mile before, and it is indeed inspirational - and nice to be reminded of it. In fact, from what I heard (I’m sure this could be easily confirmed or refuted) there wasn’t just 1 successor who suddenly could beat the 4-minute mark - there was a sequence of more and more people who, after suddenly believing/knowing it was possible, could also run that mile in

…under 4 minutes. Simply seeing someone else do it made all the difference…. So, has anyone run a 3-minute mile? ;)

[[reply from Jim]]: The gauntlet has been thrown down…I\’ll start training tomorrow.  ;0)

Hi Jim. The things you share are incredible! You and Ken Evoy must be the two most reputable, respected figures re: internet business.

Anyway, can you tell me where I can access the following information you talked about previously?

Specifically, where can I find more information re:

    1. Your post on flipping houses on ebay.
    2. \” \” the guy who makes $20,000 a day on ebay.

    Thanks,

    Tom

[[REPLY FROM JIM]]: The $20,000 per day on ebay guy sells his course through this link: http://tinyurl.com/8at9r  I\’ve got this course and learned a lot from it!  The guy that\’s flipping houses on eBay is still putting together his info, but I\’ll let you know when it\’s ready. I can\’t control his schedule, but I\’m anxious to get it out there!
