Thank you for making this information available as well as this inspiring call. It was time well spent.

We so often hear that "this person" is making "x" dollars on ebay, and that we can duplicate that for ourselves. We then invest & are told something like "write an ebook about something you know & sell it" or "contact businesses to be an independant sales person, selling their product on ebay" or something of this sort... things that just discourage people because the majority of us don't know how to begin (to write an ebook or how to make such a business proposal, etc). This time we get real info, real hope. And yes, we can duplicate Rob's success... Any of us can see what kind of belt buckles are selling on ebay (if that's what we choose to sell), go to a thrift store or garage sale, buy a couple and get started.

I thank you and Rob for this information and true hope.

Warmest Regards,
Caroline

Jim,
I just finished Robs ebook and it was well worth the small price Rob was asking.

Great job of keeping us informed and learning best practices to make eBay a viable business model each of us can use.

Give Rob my best, and tell him thank you for taking the time to put his knowledge where we can all benefit.
Regards, Jim

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rob! And thank you Jim for giving us another wonderful resource! Can't wait for the book. I finally put my first items on Ebay after listening to the call. It was just what I needed to get motivated!

Inspiring and educational. I am quite sure that most of the people, not all, who have listened to this call asked themselves the same question I asked myself when the call was over. That question was: WHAT is Rob selling NOW on Ebay @ 50k transactions per month? True or not? A picture is worth a thousand words.
GoTo: <a href="http://www.jimcockrum.com/robf.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.jimcockrum.com/robf.html</a>
for that picture.

Thanks Jim, for making this call available. Also, if you say Rob's book will be worth the ticket, then that's good enough for me. Keep up the good work Jim.
See Ya!

Any way you could provide a transcript of the interview for those of us stuck with dial-up and can't listen to the recording?
I'm out in the boonies and no access to DSL so anything with video or other media is virtually useless and I just delete it. I know I probably miss out on alot but I can only work with what I have to work with so out of site out of mind is my theory.

[[reply from admin]] : you can download the file to your own PC and then listen to it. There are insructions in italics in the post above.

I have been operating in a very small way on Ebay since 1996, On and Off, Losing interest and starting again with another I.D.
I agree that the only way to learn is to get off your backside and start doing something, If you do not think you have anything to sell, Get a wash Basket and go round the house putting stuff in that you realise you have not touched for years + list it Now!!!
Get the silent Sales Machine book and use what you learn, do not sit on it.
I found this book so inspiring, I was motivated to "get stuck in" I am now a powerseller with my original ID, and am now on my 2nd ID where I have started an ebay store and looking onwards and upwards.
I find that you can find loads of good quality stuff from Charity shops and Car boot sales, I follow the "Dealers" around and pick up what they leave on the table when sellers are demoralised that they are not making sales and their stuff is rubbish, this is not the case, It is just that they do not have antiques for peanuts that they can sell on for lodsamoney.
Think out of the box and go for stuff people need like Home Furnishings, Technical equipment (i.e. Drawing boards, Technical drawing pen sets)etc.
Above all, stop bemoaning your fate and do something to change your life for the better, no-one is going to come up and give you loads of cash, you have to get it for yourself (No not robbing a bank!!)
Anyway, I am off my soapbox now!!
Good Luck to the Guy, I only hope I can say I am in the same position this time next year, If I am, you sure will hear about it!!
