IMC has a new eBay course that is boasting a $.99 price tag, but I’ve checked the fine print and have a full review to share with you.

It looks like they are starting to teach eBay from a similar “big picture” vantage point that I try to teach. For example, eBay is a source of leads and lifetime customers – not a giant yard sale! For example, they are offering to help you create your first ebook, host it, create a thank you page etc. There’s a lot to this offer! They even offer “about me” page templates as part of the deal

If you like to have something to “hold in your hands” and you want someone to “hold your hand” when you are learning to do this business then this is a good offer to consider!

The below screen shot is from the MySilentTeam.com discussion forum – I wanted to illustrate that we have a very active chat board! With around 150 of you logging on EVERY DAY it’s no surprise!

What kinds of things do we discuss on the forums? There are several categories as you can see, but I grabbed a recent sample for you…

Below is a small sample from a post on the forum from just this morning where we were discussing using craigslist.com to generate leads for virtually any business.

From MySilentTeam.com discussion 8/27/07:

Let’s say you have a free special report that you want to list on CraigsList.com (we’ll call it CL) to generate leads.

What city should you list it in?

Let’s assume you have to pick one city. (CL says they only let you list it in one city, but I know for a fact that many people are varying their listings slightly and listing items in several cities, but let’s assume you are looking for the ONE BEST city to list in).

Here are two tips that will almost certainly help you find THE HOTTEST city where the most potential CL users will be interested in your ad:

TIP 1:
Using the free web stats site www.alexa.com I typed in “craigslist.com” into the search window. I got a list of the cities that are using CL the most:

San Francisco
New York
LA
Seattle
Boston
San Diego
Chicago
Orange County
Vancouver
Washington D.C.

…in that order.

TIP 2:
Use Google.com/trends to find the cities that are most interested in your topic.

For example – when I type “dog training” into Google.com/trends I get this list of cities as the cities AROUND THE WORLD that are most interested in that topic:

1. Austin, TX, USA
2. Denver, CO, USA
3. Minneapolis, MN, USA
4. Seattle, WA, USA
5. Chicago, IL, USA
6. Phoenix, AZ, USA
7. San Diego, CA, USA
8. Dallas, TX, USA
9. Atlanta, GA, USA
10. Melbourne, Australia

When I cross reference the two lists clearly the best places on CL to list my report is in the city(ies) that appear on both lists, and/or at the top of either list. In this case if I were to pick ONE city I’d likely choose Seattle, but you can always test the other cities easily. This should make the task of filtering through the MASSIVE list of cities on CL a bit easier to swallow!
