<description>Today I tried posting a classified ad with Turbo Lister which included some html for my content as well as my script for an opt-in box. I thought opt-in boxes were &quot;permitted&quot; - but perhaps not.

It would not let me proceed and I got an error message about using &quot;script is not permitted&quot;. So, evidently I can put a link in but not an opt-in. Am I right or am I wrong? </description>

<description>If eBay is going to refer everyone to the general policy on linking, shouldn&#039;t they at least put up a mention of classified ads on that page?

I agree. There is not any policy. They just gave their watchdogs a general policy in referring people to links.

Oh well, its their site, and my funnel! ;)

I am beginning to wonder if eBay is trying to become more Amazon in nature. Think about it.

		<description>Hey JC

Always turn to your site for advice re: Ebay.

I did actually receive a violation notice regarding a link in one of my classifieds and they (ebay.co.uk) referred me to the general policy on linking.

As you correctly state, the vast majority of classifieds still have these links so am not quite sure why ine was singled out in particular....c&#039;est la vie!!

I did ask for further clarification on the classified ads policy but was again referred back to the general policy...so no help there!

Thanks again.

		<description>Hi Jim,

Thanks for the &quot;news&quot; about eBay&#039;s classified ad &quot;changes&quot;. It looks like our window of opportunity is still fairly wide open...

for now.

But with all of the real &quot;changes&quot; they&#039;ve been making lately, it wouldn&#039;t surprise me to see this one slammed shut with very little (if any) notice.

I always read your newsletters as soon as they hit my inbox. Keep up the good work.
