    Hi Jim,

Great newsletter. I have been thinking a lot about the different changes with eBay. It has been rather frustrating and I know many (particularly digital sellers) have ‘thrown in the towel’. But I agree with you, there is still a big powerhouse that folks can leverage to attract customers. There are still way to do this, without breaking the rules, with a bit of creativity.

Such as; make your eBay user name very close to your website address.

Your Pay Pal email, should be @ your domain.com.

Create digital projects on CD, using video (your own or public domain), or an info/training product (your own, or PLR). Your product you create on CD can include your domain and an affiliate link and incentive to go to your site. Perhaps a free report?

In a way, the changes are kind of a good thing. It clears the playing field and removes a lot of competition because many sellers just aren’t willing to work with all the rules.

Thanks for the links to the sites for researching selling prices of things on eBay. To clarify, are you suggesting that these searches can be done from your cell phone? I spot things quite often that I think I can resell on eBay. At first, I got carried away and have a shelf of stuff that didn’t sell:) But I have gotten much better at spotting eBay treasures, and there really are quite a lot of them out there. The plethora of information and guidance I have received through My Silent Team has been essential to my eBay and Internet business development.

    Thanks so much Jim,

    Jeromy

[[reply from Jim]]: Thanks for the kind words!

RE: cell phones, yep – a good cell phone can browse the web. A great application for it is finding hot eBay inventory while you shop for the stuff you “need”. I always hit the “close out” isle of department stores while I’m shopping. A quick check for the “ebay value” and I know when I’ve found a potential winner.
