    Jim,

I guess I have come to the same conclusion you have and that is local business need help marketing on the internet. Currently I belong to 2 forums or groups charging me monthly fees, Dan Kennedy and Ben Hart’s. Both have been helpful and I have even gotten a client to work with. I do have a long term strategy for trying to get new clients.

I have joined the free membership. Is there something your offering has that would warrant me switching from one of the two groups I am in to yours? Is there a concrete plan for generating an income. Not internet marketing gobbly goop, but real tangible examples of success. I know affiliate marketing can work but even there you need a good product and strategy to market to the correct people.

[[reply from Jim]]: If you have a system that’s working for you by all means stick with it! The ideas and experts you’ll find at OfflineBiz.com though are coming from decades of experience in this EXACT market. There isn’t another site online that overlaps what we offer there when it comes to making the business of working with offline businesses on their online marketing as simple as possible. With over 2,300 members already and a projected 5,000 more coming within a few months OfflineBiz.com WILL CONTINUE TO BE and ALREADY IS the center of the “Offline/Online Marketing” universe…

    But then again I’m biased…

How much face to face or phone selling is necessary for this?

    Thanks

[[reply from Jim]]: Let me help you out…it should NEVER feel like “selling” if you are doing it right. Businesses need what you have. You are a trusted source of reliable information if you use the simple strategies we teach you at OfflineBiz.com. They will seek you out and you’ll give them advice. No selling, no cold calls. Face to face is entirely optional. You can have clients all over the world.

Hi Jim, this may sound stupid but what exactly are we doing to help these business owners? The potential for income sounds exciting but at the same time intimidating as to what computer skills I would have to have. I don’t have a newsletter or mailing list so don’t deal with aweber yet. Could you elaborate on this? Thanks in advance. Dawn

[[reply from Jim]]: There are a variety of strategies that can be deployed and they are all spelled out on OfflineBiz.com, but you AREN’T taking a cookie cutter approach and you won’t be relying on your technical skills. Instead you are offering VERY SIMPLE, but highly effective solutions to them that you then outsource to a third party for implementation (or do it yourself and earn a bit more profit). For example, nearly all businesses with websites have a few things in common. First, they aren’t making any money with it, next, they spent way too much building it and want someone else to tell them how to start making money instead of spending more, and finally, they don’t want to mess with it themselves. Once you earn their trust you can do something as simple as set up an email follow up campaign using aweber.com (the ONLY tool I EVER suggest you learn to use in this business) and you’ll revolutionize their business by allowing them to start following up with and building repeat business relationships with their client base. It’s easy work that is extremely valuable to them and you can easily outsource it if you’d like.

Members of OfflineBiz.com actually get access to the hand picked companies we’ve set up that can help you with any client you encounter…even if they want high end web development. You get paid a percent of all work billed!

    Hi Jim,

I’d just like to point out to your readers that all they need to do is sign up for the free membership which gives access to the free Forum and just start reading.

It may take some time to get through it all…
    (It’s getting pretty big now.)

I currently am still only a free member, but have learnt so much, and gained confidence purely from the free Forum.

Anything asked gets answered by the resident experts, regardless of whether the question comes from “free” or “gold” members.

Also, reading between the lines, I believe the “experts” are also discovering new ideas and twists on existing strategies from other members at times. (We NEVER stop learning.)

Just ask your questions. You may be surprised at the simple, but effective solutions thrown back at you.

    It’s a great resource.

    Thanks Jim.

Jim, Can you give an example (or two) of types of businesses this would work with? I assume the target is local business, not national chains. Am I correct? Thanks!

[[reply from Jim]]: About the ONLY type of business you’ll find that don’t need this are the “chain” type businesses like fast food etc. Even some of those will have opportunity for you though.

    Hi Jim,

I think your right about the potential of helping other businesses without an online prescence how to get online efficiently and successfully. I’m looking forward to reading more on the offlinebiz site. Thanks for focusing my mind.

I personally have signed up and already converted to a paid member at www.offlinebiz.com… really opened my eyes as I realized I could take the little internet information that I know and offer it to help businesses… businesses who are struggling to stay alive and many that have no time to figure out how to use the internet to bring in more customers. Love the content and the forums are awesome to get your questions answered. I had 4 answers to my question in less than 24 hours- two of them experts!

    Hi Jim,
I am about to look at your website for the first time, obviously the internet enables us to deal with the global market and you are based in the US but have you had experience of this opportunity working in New Zealand (where I live)
Thanks in advance for your reply.

I’m a beginner trying to understand how all this stuff works… I’d really like to build my own website at some point and would like to understanding what a blog is and how it is linked to or from your site. I know it can’t be hard just needs to be explained to me and the questions will at this point come by the dozens.

Wow! You’ve hit the nail on the head!! I personally have paid thousands to diff. companies trying to have a website up and running and making needed money and to this day, months later, I”m still struggling and the reason is NOBODY is willing to take me by the hand and help me every step of the way until I’m finally up and running. Thank god you have come to realize that there are many of us (lost souls) out there and are living with nothing but frustration!!
