Hi Jim,
Thanks for the heads up on firefox - I have used it for 2 or 3 years and love it, esp the way you can customise it (and esp the web developed add-on).
I was sad but you have fixed my problem - thank you!
Just a thought - you probably should turn off the auto-update feature:
Go into TOOLS–>OPTIONS–>ADVANCED–>UPDATE
Once you get there, untick the “automatically check for updates - firefox” box.
