Replacing yourself for a few dollars.

This weeks newsletter is a short audio message from me:

Here’s a link to the “Step By Step” program that has been such a hit among MySilentTeam.com members. Even many people that read last weeks BLOG POST left comments about how much they love it.

I’ll soon be sending you a lot more free and complete details about:

o Exactly which proven profitable ideas like the “Step By Step” program can be easily outsourced to others

o exactly how and where to find these outsource partners

o and, exactly how to transition your online efforts to people that can do it better, faster and less expensively than you could ever hope to.

The result:

More free time and profits for you because you’ve put the ‘multiple income streams’ strategy on steroids!

2009 is going to be great!

    Hi Jim,

great ideas as always. I am very interested in the offlinebiz.com stuff. The audio blog is a better idea because people (myself included) tend to pay more attention than skimming through the written word.

    Cheers,

    Paul

I like the newsletter in video. Keep it up.

  • http://www.diabeticteststrips.com Walter aka fishinter

I meant to ask Can you give website address for the Phillipine company you refer to in the video.

    Thanks

[[reply from Jim]]: The site is bestjobs.ph. I'll be telling you more about them soon. Hang in there… ;0p

    Hi Jim,

First off I want to say that I really do like the audio newsletter. I've been reading your newsletters for years now, but it was wonderful to actually hear your voice. I'm very excited about the information you gave us today and I'm looking forward to learning more. I will be checking out the offline biz info as well, I think it sounds great. I have very little technical know how and it's held me back for far too long. I've recently made the decision that I'm going to stop procrastinating, stop making excuses and get MOVING. I agree, I think 2009 is going to be great! Thank you SO much for all that you do!

    - Bobbie

NOW you have my total attention. I'm just finishing up my first website (whew) a kinda "hometown feeling" cash gifting among friends – site, and have my first blog.. http://friendshelpingfriendsnow.blogspot.com” rel=”nofollow”>.http://friendshelpingfriendsnow.blogspot.com
Gosh your recording is so much better than reading, reading, reading.Everything everywhere ..is reading. Finally a voice – getting directly into my brain – you got my attention now – totally – keep talking. You see i'm an old timer, baby-boomer, grand mother (really). I'm here putzing away on the internet with sooo much of gazzillions of learning curves to master,I need your help – have small budget …really small! I would so welcome your help. Audio IS AWESOME!! Keep it up! Pleeease!

  • Bill

WOW! I cannot wait to see what you have coming for 2009. I have made the decision to put my time, money, and effort into what you recommend because your recommendations are so "right on".

    Thanks,

    Bill

  • http://www.squidoo.com/HowToStopSmokingFast/ Thomas

    The audio was GREAT!!!

Very good to hear someones voice.

Dude, we read all day long, it would be great to hear your comments in the future rather then read, or both would be fine to go back and review a link or particular item you mentioned.

    Thanks so much Jim!

    Best Regards

    Thomas

  • http://www.mysystemtech.com Jim

Jim I love the audio…my vote is to keep it going. It was so timely! I'm a member of MST and Offline and today I landed my first major client. He's a large furniture store in my area. We're going to be completely redoing his marketing with his web page as the hub of it all. As soon as I got home I took careful notes of all we discussed and then I went straight to Elance and put it out for bid. 4 hours later I already had 7 bids!

Jim I want to share with all of my friends at Offline exactly how this came about and I'd also like to share the proposal that I sent to Elance. Doing so however will be a bit lengthy. Is that OK? I don't want to post too long of a message. Please advise.

    thanks

    Jim

[[reply from Jim ]]: I've sent you an email with my 800# testimonial line. Just record it there and we'll use it to educate and inspire others. Thanks for offering to share your story about OfflineBiz.com!

  • Thomas (tmynar)

    Hi Jim,

    I really like the audio.

If the out sourcing people can do my work, why wouldn't they just copy my business and do it all themselves instead of just the work I need?

    Thanks,

    Tmynar

[[reply from Jim]]: Great question. In the Philippines it is practically impossible to secure a credit card which makes running your own Internet business practically impossible. Those types of details are very well thought out by the people already doing this and will be made available for free in the near future.

  • http://www.love-texas-holdem.com ian

Sorry Jim, it's just not for me. I get 10-15 audios or videos every day from marketers, even at 5-10 minutes each (many are longer) that is anything from one to two and a half hours of my time.

I just decided not to watch or listen to any of them, I don't have the time. I love your newsletter but I can read in in a couple of minutes and more importantly I can refer back to any important points at a glance without having to replay a whole recording.

It works for some people, just not me.

  • http://4movinghelp.wordpress.com 4movinghelp.com

Ireallyliked this recorded message.I would prefer that your newsletters come as both forms. You have links which I would like to go to in your written newsletter, that you can't do with the recorded one.

  • http://www.cleanchemicalfree.ca Eric

great job with the audio Jim, seems to be easier to learn listening instead of reading.

    thanks

  • Jim Vickers

    Jim,

I've been reading your newsletter and listening to your audio presentations for something like a year now. Honestly. I like both formats equally. Reading is good for future reference. Audio is more personal and I can pick up on your low-key personality which is an attractive advantage and differentiator in your case. It makes your presentation more inspiring to the recipient. So I vote for Both! Thanks.

Please correct me if I am not understanding correctly about the Step-by-Step program.

It seems that a person would be, in essence, 'stealing'(swiping) the hard work that others have accomplished in order to make a profit.

I don't know all that this program entails, but isn't there a way to learn how to be successful affiiates WITHOUT taking -without permission- the effort that others have put into having a successful campaign?

Maybe one of these guys who has all of these secret, proprietary techniques/software could come up with a 'step by step' method that wouldn't involve tapping in to other people's work. Or am I misunderstanding how this system works? Is this the only way (or the only 'easy' way) to help affiliates?

It just seems that any methods that aren't just/fair/above board etc. etc. are eventually planting the seeds of their own destruction and aren't really taking into account the bigger picture that those of us who are wanting to work with integrity and ethics are trying to work by.

Again, I must ask, have I misunderstood the program? If not, surely it's not considered 'o.k.' to tap into someone elses' efforts (unless they are allowing it?) just because we think they are 'rich' and can afford it or won't miss it?

And – I hate to say it – you are not promoting this just because of the high dollar amount you will receive in return are you? Surely this can not be the case! You are already a man of high financial means and I find it hard to imagine that you would 'sell out' just for a few more dollars!

Please accept this in the humble spirit it is written. It seems that most of your programs I have come across (I am still relatively new to your name and your services) are truely designed to help the common man/newbie/ etc.

If I am mistaken in what I am saying, I would appreciate your input so that others will know what your thoughts are on what I have written – No need to let your 'good be evil spoken of' over a misunderstanding by one of your readers, but neither should your good be evil spoken of just for a few bucks that won't follow you into the next world.

[[reply from Jim]] : the game of advertising affiliate products is a dog eat dog world. For example – I'm not usually not even the best advertiser of my OWN products. Others are constantly finding new and creative ways to market them and then inevitably others will copy the promotional methods being used if they discover that it is successful. I don't see any ethical issue in this, but if you do please avoid it. There are plenty of other ways to make money online! You will find that one of the best ways to success though is copying people that you know are already successful. That's what "step-by-step" is all about. In the world of advertising this sort of ongoing discovery/copycatting is very normal like it or not.

The audio newsletter was great. I actually prefer it over a written one.

Didn't some recent politican say it was patriotic to pay (more) taxes… hope to find a business model that 'outsources' within America–land of the free, home of the economically challenged workforce… there so many people willing right here in America. Would like to pursue that kind of economic win-win business plan where both employer and employee(s) benefit in great ways.

BTW, your family photos are wunderful… you seem rather blessed to have the opportunity to adopt children… must keep you and your wife more than busy!

  • Jim

I so much appreciate the audio.I am more motivated by hearing a voice than just reading a newsletter. I am getting ready next year to launch a local e-classifieds and my home page is going to have an audio greeting. Keep up the great work and Merry Christmas. Jim

I liked the audio very much…provides a different pace than wading thru a long newsletter!

I don't know about outsourcing our type of online biz though…. We have been making a very good living full time online, for the last six years, and we do everything ourselves. We produce a physical product which we market exclusively on the net. This means production, Ebay listings, websites, email. I honestly don't know that I could change anything without the fear of "breaking it".

That said, know this: "Anything is possible on the Internet, for anyone and everyone!" I believe this statement to my core.

In the event anyone read my post on Eric's Tips last week, the text below reiterates almost verbatim my post there.(So if you recognize the story, spare yourself the read! :-)

We, (my wife and I), sell WOOD on the internet…Imagine….WOOD!

Full time! A few short years ago, we were desperate. Our offline wood business was floundering. Our salesperson/partner had left, taking his contact/customer list with him. He wasn’t doing anything wrong. It was his list. We had an argument, he decided to leave. Simple. Except…He was our entire sales dept! (My wife and I were the labour end of things…big outfit huh!:-)

We were going under. FAST. We had major overhead…sawmill and shop equipment loans, mortgages etc. We were so far down, we had to look up to see bottom.

One evening my wife stumbled over this beautiful guitar blank we had leaning against the wall in our home office for about the 20th time. She decided that was enough… she was going to put that blank on Ebay. I laughed at her! (We had never bought OR sold ANYTHING online before.) When that curly maple guitar blank sold as fast as it did for as much as it did…..we never looked back! We started listing our wood like crazy!

Profitable on the net from DAY ONE, six years ago! Thanks to Ebay, we now have a heck of a customer base that buy direct, and our websites are all at the top of the serps for all our major keywords. Ebay first, and then the net, saved us.

It has allowed us to not only pay off all our old eqipment, but to purchase new "state of the art" equipment as well.

Over the last few years, thanks to our little online wood biz, we have also been able to purchase multiple pieces of Real Estate, one of which turned into a major development property. (Really….Google my name to read a newspaper article where I'm "whining" about my tax assesment. I actually used my tax assesment as a tool to generate a newspaper interview. I wanted to attract the attention of major developers outside my area who might be interested in a JV or an outright purchase…and it worked..the article syndicated right across Canada.) (Incidentally… nothing will attract more attention than some "dork" whining about his "lottery" win! I got some real "hate" on a major "Real Estate Guru's" forum! LOL! )

Anyway, as recently as seven years ago, if someone had told me I could sell wood on the internet, I would have called them crazy and had the men in white coats take them away (For their own safety of course! :-)

And yet here we are! Selling wood on the internet!

I'm not bragging, we absolutely BLUNDERED into this. "Horseshoes" is an understatement! We never planned this…at all. (Mind you, we sure started to plan very soon, in fact, planning became a priority immediately upon realizing how blessed and DOWNRIGHT LUCKY we had been…you know, "we've been handed a gift -we better not blow it now!" sort of thing!)

The internet has levelled the marketplace. Just a few short years ago, only the biggest players with huge budgets could have a global presence, via prohibitively expensive media such as T.V and print.

Today the little Mom and Pop shop, (or even just Mom or just Pop!) can have that same global presence.

And even the big players want our help and pay very well for it too! (To get traffic for them!) I have seen this upclose…I live in the same town as Colin McDougal (Veo Report), have email conversation once in a while with Rosalind Gardiner who lives about 3 hours away. These people have made (and continue to make) very nice livings entirely on the net as affiliate marketers..(they both have books out, but they did very well prior to the books too.) (Google their names to find out more…while you're at it, google me too..Michael Rytter :-) (I'm not a famous marketer, but all the attention will make me feel good! LOL!)

So anything's possible. Christina and I are direct evidence of that! Jim's Silent Sales Machine was the very first ebook I ever bought, and it was a HUGE help.

Anyway, I digress…as USUAL! (Seem to Love hearing my self type!)

    Michael Rytter

[[reply from Jim]]: Thanks so much for sharing your great story with us -I'm honored to have been a part of what you've accomplished!

Do not like the audio at all.

I want to be able to scan and not be forced into wasting time.

And if there is something important, in text I can cut and past and make notes for future action.

  • Nick

    Hi Jim,

Love the audio, but as mentioned by some others here, I'm a quick, avid reader and like to "skim".

Actually hearing a voice certainly inspires confidence and believability.

Ideal for me would be both formats. More work for you (or your outsourced filipino), but gives me options, depending on my mood or time constraints.

    Regards,

    Nick.

    Hi Jim

I'm really looking forward to your guidance with outsourcing whole projects to the Phillipines.

Jim, I really like the audio newsletter. I'm inclined to skim what I read, but I noticed that I listened to every word your said. Thanks a million! I saw in one of your prior newsletters how to use my about me page in eBay to link to affiliate marketing. It dealt with using Clickbank. I went and registered on Clickbank, but when I came back to follow your instructions, I was never able to find the article. Can you point me in the right direction. Thank you! Happy Holidays.

The audio format is fantastic. It provides information in keeping with modern trends. Keep it coming.

The offline business model provides great opportunity. More and more businesses are realizing that traditional methods are not working or are costing them far too great a portion of their ad budgets.

All the best for the Holidays.

I will now be able to sit back and take in all your fantastic information and ideas, without the strain on my eyes.

and , if I may say to Michael Rytter; Thank you for sharing your story of success. I was inspired as I read it. I can't wait to have my wife read it and hopefully she'll believe your story instead of always being so skeptical. Thanks again, and I wish everyone a VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Jim, I enjoy listening to the recorded version of the newsletter. It gives me a chance to get up and get some exercise while I listen. Also, I joined Offlinebiz.com and am impressed with the info. I built a website for my son, and basic site of my own that I,m working on, but still have a lot to learn about web design. Your ideas about outsourcing and marketing consulation interest me a lot. Thanks, Jim, for being my mentor for all things in marketing, online and off. Keep up the good work!

Hey Jim bring on the audio,

Keep the printed words if people still consume it that way.

I would go even further put your content in down loadable format so I can listen to it on my mp3.

In this day and age people consume information in many ways each compatible with there own particular life style.

Have not had success with offlinebiz concept guess i must get a thicker skin to get through the knock backs

    Hey Jim;

    Jim,

I really enjoy your newsletter however, this audio newsletter is also a good idea. Depending on the lenght and type of content you plan on having, it is a refreshing alternative. The advantage I can see with the newsletter is that you can see all the subject you are writing about but with the audio it is like a "surprise" because there is no indication of what it is going to be about. Thank you for bringing about such great content for all your subscribers!

  • http://www.seedsandmore.net Craig Wiseman

    Hey Jim,

Good to hear your voice for a change! I like the audio format as it allowed me to "relax" while hearing your newsletter. After spending several hours in front of the computer during the day, I tend to skim your written newsletter but I actually listened to all of the audio format (even replayed a couple parts!). I think it would be useful to follow-up with a very brief email when you are referring to websites you recommend to visit (e.g., to provide a website address). Keep up the great work and all the best to you and your family during the holidays and in 2009.

    Jim,

Your audio version is just great :) I agree with the folks above tho, that you might want to do both, sometimes I have the time to sit and listen, other times I need to save the messages for later when I have more time. Also, it's true that audios aren't able to give links! I am truly grateful for all you do to help us Jim. I've been following you for a few years now. I've been scared to really dig in and get started on the net because I'm such a tech dummie, but now that the economy has killed my husbands job and we are near homeless and utilities about to be shut off, well….it's time to put all the knowledge I've gathered to work, so again, Thank you dear one..I'm facing my tech fears and keeping my fingers crossed :)
