Jim, nice upbeat message for the new year. You are right, eBay has taken a lot of hits this year but it is still the best platform for individuals to make extra money.

I look forward to all your communication and the input from other sellers. Keep up the great work!

      Hi Jim,

Listened with interest to your audio, great information as always.

Would just like to correct one thing though, the currency in the UK is not Euros, it’s still Pounds Sterling!

      Best wishes,
      Debi

    3. You can DO this!

Love the positive, excited tone of your voice, Jim

      Very cool ideas

And what kind of stuff are you buying locally for $5 and selling for $20 (roughly – don’t give away your secrets)!

Have to take another look at Ebay, i think!

[[reply from Jim]]: “what product can you buy for $5 and sell for $20-25 over and over?” I’ll have to send you to MySilentTeam.com to get that info. Look for the info by Mr. Johnson in the bonus pool…I don’t want to hurt his niche by over exposing the product.

      Jim,

I like these audio posts, but I spend a great deal of time away from my home computer so I use my iPhone a lot. Is there any way you can make them iPhone friendly? Same for the camtasia videos. With the increasing iPhone use it seems like more and more of your readers would benefit.

      Thanks
      Jeff

Nice tips as usual Jim….but (a small but) we use £ sterling in the UK, not euros. At least we did the last time I checked my wallet. You never know with this government.
      Cheers,
      Paul

[[reply from Jim]]: DOOHHH!! My bad. Long live the sterling!! I think I fell asleep that day in 7th grade geography.

Mr. Cochrane, I have had a domain name called “consignwithus.com” for a number of years but have never done anything with it mainly because I don’t really know where to begin. I took the name out years ago when everyone was talking about domain names and have maintained the “monthly” fee but have never created a website, etc. I am really interested in finding out more about selling “consignment” items on line utilizing this already established name. I also note that you do one-on-one counseling – what does that entail? I confess to being very intimidated every time I go to “info” sites or on E-Bay etc. because I feel I am not very “computer” savvy but I have always felt the information you have provided me in your e-amils has always been honest and up front.

This year of 2009 I would like to finally put into action something that would allow me to retire from my more than hectic work schedule and spend the time working from home that I really want to do so I can spend more time with my husband who has had a stroke. I am not afraid of hard work, I just need to know where to start.

I would certainly appreciate any feedback you may have that can steer me to the right course of action.

Hey Jim: You’re always thinking and coming up with new ideas…love your newsletter and blog.

Just re-reading my new updated copy of your Silent Sales Machine..the best in the eBay industry…
Thanx so much for all you do.
      Deb

[[reply from Jim]]: Thanks for that Deb! I like when people call me “best”. Feel free to do that anytime… :o P

    8. Hi Jim
I agree 100%, eBay is still a great sales platform full of hungry buyers, all you have to do is target the right niches and boy have I found a HOT one!
I regularly buy items from an inexhaustible, online source for pennies (cents) which I sell for tens of pounds (dollars).
You can read a step by step guide at http://www.printsmakeprofits.com
This is so simple, ANYONE can do it!

[[reply from Jim]] Send me a copy of that book Stewar – I want to review it and maybe do some promotion. Looks pretty slick!

      Hi Jim,

Loved the audio, especially the part about the eBay Consignment biz model. I would very much like to know more about what you mentioned in the audio re “not losing your shirt” with this model. I’ve sold on ebay many times before for both myself and others and definetly see this as a growth biz in 09 and want to add and strengthen this stream of online income and welcome and look forward to your expertise in this regards

I really look forward to your audio messages…especially this one is really an uplifting one for the coming new year. How exciting! I too feel that 2009 will be the year for me (and making money on the internet). A very happy new year to you and your family!

    11. Barry Davis says:

      Hi Jim;
What a great idea the talking newsletter is!

    12. I’ve maintained my ebay listings (as Tuxedobrennan) since 2005. Been through the ProStores phase (not good for me) and continue to maintain my eBay store, Kingsland Manor, to use in the future.

I know that sooner or later I’m going to figure out how to do it so that the fees don’t eat-up all my profits as they have in the past.

Thank you for an upbeat report!

    13. DarleneG says:

      Hi Jim,
Thanks for the upbeat message. I’ve been receiving your newsletter for, gosh, five years or more? I’m always impressed with the quality of information that you share with your readers.

I am a member of your mysilentteam.com. I’ve learned more about internet marketing from this site than I have learned anywhere else, including traditional classroom training. In fact traditional classroom training always seems to be playing catch up with the industry. With your newsletter and mysilentteam.com I feel that I am learning from people on the cutting edge of the industry.
      Thanks so much Jim!
      Happy New Year,
      DarleneG

I ordered Mr xxxxx Information on what sales Tried following his suggested about getting xxxxxx to sale on E-bay the location Swap and trade new letter wouldn’t list my ad saying it wasn’t allowed and also Craig’s list wouldn’t allow it either. There seem to be some flaws in your Selected group. I contacted Mr xxxxx and what I felt like was very little support.I’m 63 years of age and have been looking for ways to make honest money with some work but this seem to be just another in many investments that hasn’t come close to my goal.

[[reply from Jim]]: We have many users of that system (including me on my own ebay account) that are having success. Just because you were turned down by one local classified ad paper isn’t reason to give up. Also – on craigslist make sure you post your ads in the correct category – “want to buy”
