Hi Jim. I am retired from the daily trading of hours for dollars. One of the reasons is my age, but I hope to do something with my time as I enjoy working on hobbies too.The reason I am writing to you is that I hope that I can get an insight from you in how to work the site into a business and not just a hobby. I am not sure of the technical steps to take to make this thing pay. I have sold 4 product sales through clickbank since may of 2008. its now March 09. Its not impressive but it is a start. Its all in the nich of hho fuel concepts. I am still looking for the keys to success. If you use the search terms waterworks and fuel you should see my site on google. Well at least I am trying. Well its late at night so I will be in touch again, so I will tell you I'll be back again in the future.
Maybe I can learn something from you by reading your stuff.

I guessed it! Before reading through about the results, I figured that no one would ask for the $100. A lot of skeptics are turning to believers!

I can see why you said it would be worth $100 to you to get the cleaned list that we have tried.
I've been working through the 64-page local directory, and reached page 28, and only found four people that meet the requirements. Most businesses are either broke or franchises.
However, I can see that it would work, and will continue creating a list. I'll eventually reach the 30 for my first week.

[[reply from Jim]]: There are far too many people getting results the first few days to allow those negative comments to stand! Just because it's a franchise does not prevent them from being a client either. The easiest businesses to work with aren't franchises, but don't get stuck on that point! You need to talk to a handful of people that own their own businesses and you'll quickly see how little they know about Internet Marketing and how useful your knowledge could be to them. OfflineBiz.com is full of people doing amazing things and getting started quickly. It all starts with talking to a couple people. Don't worry about "knowing it all" or contacting only the perfect clients. Start talking...it's that simple. The success rate in this business is huge for those that take a simple step of action.

I am not surprised you didn't have any 'winners'. Well I suppose you actually did, chances are folks that implimented the plan you put together made more than the prize amount (for not making anything).
I have not tried the process myself, but read the steps. I know here in my community, there are loads of businesses that either, don't have a website, or aren't using it to the best of its ability.
I wonder if you could reference that letter again that Willy did? I do intend to start inplimenting this. But first I am trying to learn to stay focused on the task at hand.
I think one of the most common reasons people fail in the Online business world is information overload, lack of focus and action. If you are looking for a business model to start online, check out the challenge, even though its done, the information is helpful. If you have capacity to add this service, do it.
I am in the midst of finishing my main website www.hillbillydirect.com . Once done, I will have this listed as a service (either on this site or a more location specific site). The cool thing is you really don't need to be a web designer or programer to impliment Offline Biz. eLance and many others enable us to simply find the job, pass it on to a freelancer and profit from it.

Thanks Jim, your posts are always top of my list for reading and value!

Cheers,

Hey Jim, where on offlinebiz.com can we read about Mr. Orr's success with working with the real estate agency and being paid $3k/house to create video on ebay and youtube? Would I have to be a gold member to read how he did it?

[[reply from Jim]]: Yep - gold members (paying members) of offlinebiz.com get access to the "members only" discussion area. That's where his discussion is. It's well worth the price of admission to join as a paid member of OfflineBiz.com
