Jim,
Thanks for your time and advice. I am writing articles like crazy to every group, submission service and website that will take them. I always make the content revelant with good quality. Actually I have been getting good reviews from people that read my articles. Anyway I am going to keep slugging.
Thanks again for you time and insite I will apply your comments.

Jim,
Just a quick note. I like your site. I like your style of honesty and straight forewardness, keep it up.
I have written an ebook [64 pages 22000 words] on weight loss. I have not sold anything as yet. [four months up on the web]
I have a product, no list, and no money. Am I going about this all wrong? If you have a little time what do you think.
Thank you,
John Schmidt <a href="http://johnschmidt.name" target="_blank">http://johnschmidt.name</a>

[reply from Jim]: Creating a product and then searching for an audience is putting things in reverse order. You need to be submitting articles to blogs, creating youtube.com videos, and sending useful short articles to people with large audiences (websites and mailing list owners). Make sure that every time you post ANYTHING on the web and in every article or video you are pointing people back to a site where then can get on your email mailing list. Once you have a list of custies ask them what they want. Keep giving them good free info (automated vie email - aweber.com for example) and the loyal audience will be very willing to pay you for your ideas because you'll have earned the right as their friend and trusted expert. That's the way the world works now...unless you have a massive marketing budget and go the traditional advertising route.
