I simply needed to let you understand that your weblog doesn't present up correctly on the BB browser, I added it to my bookmarks and have just checked from the desktop, nice format however a shame its not portable.

{reply from Jim} what's a BB browser? We'll look into it...

Hi Jim, A quick update for folks having trouble. This idea is on the AuctionAcrobat website. I contacted my webhost and they did it all for me within a 1/2 hour... NO CHARGE. "You can contact your webhost company's support staff to create a mysql database and upload the "dump.sql" file for you for free! (Steps 1 & 2) will be done for you! It's a pretty common process and they do this for many of their customers everyday. Once you are done, you can either ask them to edit the "passwords.php" file with the relevant info(MySQL database information) or you can do it yourself"

Hi Jim! Great idea, I bought it right away. I, too, am having the same issues as Michael Tanner. (Support has emailed me once so far, but just with a general suggestion) Anyone in your group that could walk us SQL know-nots through the steps? I did order a bunch of DVD's from Kunaki directly and it was very easy and cheaper than doing it myself. Keep up the GREAT benefits and products, its nice to work with folks you trust! Kristin

Jim, Been reading your newsletter for several years now, and truly admire all the great ideas you have brought to us all for improving our on-line businesses.
But I've got to agree with Ray Houghton. I too bought the AuctionAcrobatics download, and then proceeded to pull all my hair out trying to figure out what I was doing. The brief tutorial had NO AUDIO, and I don't know what MYSQL or any of that stuff is, and after several days of trying to understand all of it, I just gave up. Tech support recommended that I PURCHASE additional installation assitance...(which, I think, should be included with the product). I was foolish to pay $90 for something I still don't know how to use.

[reply from Jim]: I know for a fact that the support at auctionacrobatics.com is top notch. If you are experiencing something short of that please drop me an email and I'll see what I can do. I've never heard of someone not being taken care of by Paul and his staff.

Hi Jim
Interesting concept. But aren't there problems in using a customer's email address for future promotions if they haven't opted in to receive them? Are there strategies to encourage an opt-in that could be incorporated into the system you outlined?

[reply from Jim]: Always invite...don't force them onto your list. The first email you send them (using aweber.com) is an invite with a confirmation link. Some will not join...that's ok.

As far as the form is concerned, screen-capture the form on your own site, then put it on eBay as a picture linked to your own site. When the visitor clicks the picture they will possibly not notice that it is a link, because they will apparently be presented with the same form to fill in.

Jim, I'm wondering how the eBay Acrobat should be used with cheap CDs. All my sales in the past were for things selling for several hundred dollars on ten-day listings, and I got tired of answering all the questions.

What are the tactics here? Do I create a one-day listing every six hours, or do I have overlapping listings?

You say it's completely automated, but I assume you mean AFTER the sale has been made?

Jim,
Thanks for all the "legitimatebusiness.com" advice and direction.
I bought into Auction Acrobat and am very impressed although the learning curve is steep for a newbie. Maybe I'll get a 16 year old kid to upload "mysql phpadmin" files and setup my website ha ha!
I will be using Auction Acrobat together with your eBay Classified suggestion and also get my "digital products" from "ResellRightsFortune.com" and others like eBooks.com or ebook$wealth.com for $2.00 each.
Good advice as usual and I have to say it's a breath of fresh air after the Information Overload one gets once you enter that fateful email address. You are bombarded! I have decided to start by following only your advice and suggestions - so make sure you are always right ha! ha!

Thanks again Jim
