You make good points about the need for focus, filters, and discipline Jim. All true yet most of us don’t have a staff like yours to outsource our work, nor your income. To the rest of us, info overload is very real, not imagined nor created. You might consider that perspective, that even though efforts to focus and filter are in place daily, still one person can do only so much. When an elephant is in the room, calling it a mouse doesn’t change the elephant.

[reply from Jim]: Good point, but don’t make the mistake of thinking that I’ve always had a staff and the money to pay them. Without a good system to filter through ideas even successful people would be quickly thrown back into confusion and “information overload”. Once you have even a minimal amount of income to invest back into your business you can hire eager, capable help for a few dollars per hour (Philippines). A dollar buys $15 worth of goods there and they make a great living while you get fantastic help. Many students I’ve coached have done just that. Thanks Jim. I’m aware that NO person ALWAYS had the staff and income you have now. You have done very well with integrity and I admire that, or else wouldn’t bother to post here. You have EARNED respect online, Jim, no doubt about it, have been a member at your site in past, recently elapsed mostly due to ahhh… unemployment, laid off in July. I am one of the folks who sang your praises at IM Report Card, another site I highly respect (and DOES get through my filters). Filters in place, got it. Will consider the Philippines suggestion same as I would ANY of yours, Jim. OK…as far as ‘elephants in the room’, maybe perspective is size of room? Newbies or else not-so-newbies (like me) tend to live in much smaller rooms than yours, know what I mean? Still answers are always there when we LOOK for them and believe in them. Cheers to YOU, one who ALWAYS passes my filters. Happy New Year!

Just wanted to let you know how much I’m enjoying your newsletter & the information that you give out.

I get rid of spam & other mail just by deleting it because at this time I’m looking for information for specific items that will help me make money online.

I only open mail from my family or relevant
places that will help me with my goal. That way I can stay focused.
