Your favorite day of the week says something about you

Can I read your mind for a minute?

Do you LOVE Fridays? Do you live for the relief of a “no work” Saturday? Do you ever refer to Wednesday as “hump day” because you are getting through the half way point of the week?

Do you have favorite days of the week based on your work schedule?

If so I have a warning for you…

If that’s you then I’m willing to bet that you haven’t got the “Internet mindset” yet.

I’ll bet you have significant debt, probably don’t like your “job”, and wish you had more time to do the things you love.

You see, my family and I go to the zoo on Tuesday afternoons while it’s empty – never on a Saturday. We live our schedules shifted away from “traffic jams” and crowds.

Our kids have one-on-one tutoring from the best possible teacher they could ever have – their stay home mom.

We hit the parks, malls and restaurants on OUR schedule. I don’t have a favorite day of the week since I got fired in 2002 and started relying on the web for my income.

There’s a real freedom found in being in control of your own financial future.

I’m not lording this over you – I’m challenging you to make this mindset a reality for you and your family. Sometimes I even have to check my watch late in the day to know what day of the week it is (on the rare occasion that I wear a watch). It’s a great feeling.

Can you relate? Is 2010 the year you start loving lazy Tuesday afternoons instead of living for the weekend?

The cure to a “weekend mindset” is to surround yourself with people that challenge you forward. That’s what MySilentTeam.com is all about.

YES!! That is the way to look at your week! Weekends aren’t that special…any day of the week can be so if you make it that way. You certainly can when your schedule is your own, and you have to be in charge!
    Thanks Jim!

Wow, Jim! You just described me to a T ! I live for Fridays, because I go to a job that I don’t like in order to make barely enough money to live on. What a wake up call. Yep, 2010 is the year that I change my life, Thanks to you and MST!

That’s funny – I never used to know what day of the week it was, because I really enjoyed my job. When the job started becoming less attractive, I quit. Now I have to know what day it is, since I get my children ready for school and need to know which activities are planned for that day (and night). And truly, the only day I look forward to is Sunday. I love to be in the fellowship of believers, and the LORD’s day is the highlight of my week. Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

Hi Jim, though it is probably how most people function. That doesnt take a lot of working out. I have been doing shiftwork for many years so my days off vary. I will agree with the premise that if something has to be done – DO IT! I guess your trying to say that if one takes a step out from the 9-5 working day they achieve a certain amount of freedom. Common sense, really. I think you should probably talk about the point of focus that is needed to achieve good and great things, that would be more apt.

I used to love Friday night when I had a job.I was let go last May.But for awhile “and you have to realize that this next part of the message was about 15 years ago when I worked third shift I used to actually also have a small lawn service. Then I had flexibility to mow lawns after only four hours sleep because of rain coming. But if things went alright and I was able to get all 14 lawns mowed before Friday I really did look forward to Friday. So now I have all kind of time on my hands and no money to invest.I am on seizure medication but the thing I am trying to convey here is that you have a real opportunity to get going so that you don’t have to go through what I have gone through and am facing as I am 57 with not a really great future.Even so I will never give up.If you are here for the first time you have came upon a really knowledgeable marketer in Jim Cockrum.

I wish for that lifestyle, but have not had any luck finding it! :(

  • Cindy

Hi Jim. Loved the lifestyle freedom you pointed out. We also homeschool and are working toward having more time freedom than we already enjoy. Blessings on you and your family! Cindy

    Jim

I look forward to Friday’s. But, its because M-F I work for someone else. The week-end is when I work for myself. It’s my favorite part of the week! I build my websites and study those things I need to know to succeed online.

Oh, yea. I actually love mondays because the weekend is over! On monday, I can get back to listing vintage items on ebay, going to my local auctions, and pricing junk for the antique malls. I love that I can make my own day at my own time and go to the gym at 1PM when it is NOT crowded and the mall on Thursday afternoon when it is NOT crowded! It’s great to work for yourself!

    To Jesse –

The text link of your name to your website doesn’t work.

Jim- you have hit the nail on the head. I live a life similar to your, but due to unemployment.. I have found I love being with my husband and selling on eBay and blogging as I get the chance. I work hard on our new “Dave Ramsey Budget”.. Hope to keep this life someday (with a few more $$ hopefully)

  • Patrick

Jim, thanks for what you post. It is always right on and valuable. You help us without much expertise to grow and prosper. You give hope to those who may have lost hope. Thanks for caring!

    Hi Jim

Love your newsletter and all the information you provide. At times it feels there is not enough time in the day to implement all you teach but as they say slowly but surely wins the race. Cheers

On one of your videos you tell how to put an ad on eBay classifieds. Is the tiny step by step details for people with weak computer skills anywhere in your ebooks or videos? If not you should sell it for $20 or so for people like me who “hit walls” when running into computer glitches, in a paper back or ebook form or both. Sort of an “complete idiots guide to placing ads on eBay” with ALL the little details.

[reply from Jim:] We have just such a book in the bonus pool of MySilentTeam.com! It’s not sold online anywhere else.
