Interesting it is, but every time I leave you a question, you NEVER reply to me. Why is that?

[reply from Jim}: My staff and I get hundreds of emails every day. I'm sorry if I've missed yours. One idea since we seem to be missing each other is to post a blog comment with your question and I'll do what I can from there.

Hi Jim,

I bought your Silent Sales Machine when you first produced it and keep getting the updates. It keeps getting better and better. I sold on ebay for awhile, but got tired of the packing and mailing. Now I do success coaching for women executives, but with the downturn in the economy, that is temporarily not as lucrative as it could be. I purchased another online marketing for local businesses course and paid a lot of money for it. The course has excellent material and covers all the bases, but it is still difficult to get started. I still have not obtained my first client. I had a few false starts, but no success yet. I am very interested in getting help to obtain my first client and more. Since I already paid so much for the other program, I really can't afford to join offline biz, but would you offer coaching without being a member of offline biz? I hope so.

[reply from Jim]: Members of OfflineBiz.com and MySilentTeam.com always get the best pricing and often free access to the products I offer, but non-members always have an opportunity to purchase as well. OfflineBiz.com is only $49 to join and $9 per month. It will be worth it to be a member when we start offering coaching.

Finally I paused and listened to your tape; for a year, I've been deleting messages you send regularly because I sensed from the first message you sent around that you are a gifted teacher. Me too. I teach literature and want to use my retirement with Oprah in 2011 to publish a second anthology of poetry. I want to sell huge numbers of books on E-Bay. I want to learn more about building a web site and lists and Utube videos all as a part of my bucket list. Here in Montreal, normally we get months of snow when all of that is possible.
So if I don't "write back" or just keep deleting messages for a while, I hope I let you know I think I was right about the first impression. You keep in simple and offer much. That is a fine gift to pass along, and your generousity sparkles. Power to your arms....

[reply from Jim]: Poetic. Thanks for the compliments.

How do you use an auto responder for your own eBay buyers of the past? Do you add the emails to the AR or do you have to use some kind of opt in method? Thanks.

Really enjoy your newsletter. Keep up the great work. Jim

[reply from Jim]: to add ebay buyers to your email list for follow up you'll need to import them into your aweber.com account. This will generate a confirmation email. Make sure you only do this for customers that give you the OK to be 100% safe with spamming issues. EXAMPLE: send customers an email inviting them to join your list and send them to an opt-in page. It's easy to set up an opt-in page even if you don't have a website. Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzdemYscFhY

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the audio. Im new to the im world and very confused.I am a victim of information overload, ive done the typical newbie thing, of signing up to loads of newsletters, trying out various products, allways chasing the next big thing, thats going to explode my income. Well, guess what, it never came.I've now decided to cut right back on the number of newsletters I subscribe to and buy from. You can be certain your name will be on the list.
Thanks

Jim...
I've come to the conclusion that building a mailing list and either writing a book/ebook or selling ebooks, is one of the better methods to build a mailing list.............

With a book or ebook, one becomes somewhat of an authority on that subject, thus, we would have a basis to develope our own group of followers .........

The mailing list without a product to promote may not be able to provide adequate content to keep the people coming back to us for more knowledge etc............sooo

How about you put yourself in our shoes...broke, clueless,over-whelmed and confused....and take us by the hand STEP-BY-STEP how you would start an ecommerce business, if you were to lose EVERYTHING that you currently have... and YOU had to start from square one to rebuild your ecommerce business.....Kind of like a business plan..............

I'm in, if you approach it from this angle, otherwise we're still a bunch of gerbils running around in circles, completely confused and wondering where in the heck to start..........

Thanks for your great information..

Rick

[reply from Jim]: Thanks for your comment. I hope it doesn't feel like I'm beating you up with my response, but we all start at the same starting point online. Your income level, education, background etc. can't be considered a disadvantage here because anyone can become an expert and grow an audience if they put their mind to it. My 10 year old (without help from me) now has youtube.com videos being seen by hundreds of people every day. Over 40,000 views on his account...and a huge list of followers. He films and uploads them himself. He picks the topics himself.

The starting point FOR YOU is to find a need a meet it. Find a problem and solve it. Find a market and give it what it wants. There are no quick fixes to huge success.

There are MANY ways you can start at least some income income though very quickly. Most of those ideas revolve around eBay. Buy things locally that are in demand on eBay. You'll find them cheaper locally and then you can sell them for profit. Readers of my SilentSalesMachine.com book get a steady dose of those product ideas. From there you can grow and expand into any number of different options to make money online.

Hi Jim, What can I say. All of the info I receive from you is fantastic. I have been selling and buying on ebay for a number of years. I enjoy trying to make money on ebay. With your info I received I will be better informed. I am at a point in my life that I just want to make money to add to what I make teaching golf. One main goal I have is to create enough money that I can fund my son's Memorial golf tournament. I want to make it a tournament that people will look forward to being envolved in. I want to add to how special the tournament is already. This takes money. We now give two one thousand dollar scholerships to my son's High school's athelete program which is fantastic. With the info I received and furture help this is what I hope to acomplish. Your ministry work sound wonderful. Sounds like you are a man with his priorties in a positive direction.
Thanks so very much
