New look and feel…same ramblings

I like the look, but I wish you’d put up a new pic! I like the dark borders, as it gives a bit of a ‘break’ from the bright screen, and helps my brain compartmentalize the info better. Hope that makes sense!

Sue – He SO needs a new pic doesn’t he?!!!

He keeps talking about getting one done but…ya know :)

Maybe I just need to pull him outside and get some great shots and submit them to the IT guys myself, eh?!

But, I promise, he’s still as handsome as he is in this “old” picture …. smile.

I love the new site look and feel – the darker background makes it feel easier to read somehow. Keep the great info coming!!

    Jim,
Nice site, but it just doesn’t “look” like you. You are so down to earth and homey (comfortable would be another good word) and this new look is so sophisticated, so slick, so $$ oriented. It feels like you are becoming commercialized and not the down-home, “I’m here to help” feeling I get from your other sites. I mean, look at your http://www.silentsalesmachine.com/. Now that site needs a major makeover, but not TOO much. Just make it easier to read. But it “looks” like you.

This of course is just my humble opinion. The site does looks nice, though.

I have to agree with the other women, though. You DEFINITELY need a new picture. You’re looking pretty scruffy in that one. I’ve seen some of the ones Andrea has taken. You’re not that scruffy.

    Thanks, Rita

Great looking website, Jim. This design is strong–looks like a site for an Internet business consultant. I’m looking forward to more great posts from you.

Looks real nice Jim! Gives me some ideas for updating ours. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Jim,
the colours and layout are great and it’s easy to read and navigate. I think your header doesn’t stand out enough though. Too many items of similar size. Regarding your photo, personally I like the ‘scruffy’ look

The other look was more down to earth and homely. This one is less *Jim* and more *internet businessy*. Not that that’s a bad thing. Just different atmosphere.

  • Alex

High time for a new look for this well-known and established blog. Looks good and clean.

    Jim,
I like the look a whole lot better. The other site gave the info, this one gives the info with class.

Nice easy to read theme. Holds my attention a wee bit longer. (that’s a chore) So, yes this is much better and easier to read.

Nice ebay auction results by the way!

Love the new look and would love to see complementary look at MST.

It’s easy to view with clean lines and no cluttering.

No complaints about the photo either (LOL), but then I’ve never met you in person. Just one request… if you replace it, please don’t don a suit and tie!
