Get ready to have your email in-box slammed with email from all the “gurus” pushing the latest big launch.

This time it’s the “Affiliatedotcom” product.

Rather than give you my take AGAIN on “big launches” I’ll just direct you to the best article I ever wrote on the subject of “big launches”.  Click here to read my “big launch” article (link will open in a new window).  That article got about 100 comments posted to it last time…and I’m sure even more readers will have some thoughts after this, my latest “guru rebellion”.

No wonder I never get invited to any big Internet Marketing events!

What’s my problem?!

I’m not endorsing this product, and by NOT endorsing it I’m costing myself a TON of money and potential “partnerships” in this industry.

But, to be clear I’m NOT telling you NOT to buy it either, but this article DOES NOT CONTAIN AN AFFILIATE LINK.

Confused?

Here are some facts and then you decide…

Sure, I am passing up on my chance to brag about:

• my “fat affiliate commission check“
• and  I’ll probably miss the “big dog only affiliate celebration in Vegas” (just not for me anyway)
• I won’t have any “bragging rights“
• no top 10 affiliate prizes (cars and everything are given away for top affiliates in these launches!)
• and I’ll be robbing myself of another “big sales day” that I can show off on a future sales letter supposedly proving that I’m worth listening to etc.

I’ve even had some people email me mad that I’m mentioning the product if I’m not endorsing it.

The fact is, my email list of readers is plenty big enough to secure a five or six figure payday if I’d full out promote this launch, so why won’t I blatantly promote and endorse?

The heart of the matter (for THIS launch):

Odds are that this is a GREAT course and worth every penny…after all, one of the guys behind it is a “co-hero” of  IMreportCard.com (REMINDER: I’m the most trusted Internet Marketer on that 40,000 member watchdog site, and Chris Farrell, the co-author of “Affiliatedotcom” runs the most trusted service on IMreportcard).

You’d be foolish to skip over the free advice and free videos associated with this course! I’ve already told you about those previously and I do suggest you view them, but that is NOT a product endorsement.

In all likelihood the course will be flat out awesome, but I haven’t seen it yet so I can’t say for sure. This is based on what I know of Chris and his strategies and teaching ability.

From what I know of it and have seen so far this IS THE MOST cutting edge way to be a great affiliate marketer. The free content alone has been very good, and Chris F. is rock solid. That’s why I’m even writing this article.

I realize that these facts alone are enough to convince many of my readers to go buy the course! If that’s you, I’d be honored if you’d use my affiliate link and I’ll put together a nice bonus for you, BUT I’M NOT ENDORSING THIS COURSE.

Email me or leave a comment on this blog post if you want to talk about ordering this course in spite of my inability to fully endorse it.

…so what’s the big deal Jim? Why not just flat out promote the course and cash that fat affiliate check??!! Can’t you just leave it at that?

I can’t because I’d be violating my own rules.

I haven’t yet reviewed and tested the course out thoroughly myself, nor will I have a chance to do so due to the short time frame between “big launch” and “offer closing”.

So…in conclusion…

Anyone that can afford the price tag, has time to commit to affiliate marketing,  and wants to learn affiliate marketing from a new angle and a true PROVEN expert that I trust (Chris F.) … that person SHOULD consider getting this course (using my affiliate link would be nice, but it’s not in this article).

Everyone else…just check out the free videos before they pull them down, stay on course, focus, avoid shiny objects and freeze your credit card in a block of ice to help prevent impulsive buying!

Selling new and used books online

One of the steadiest niche markets to get into for years has been the used books niche. I’m talking about “real” books (not ebooks).

You have to know what you are doing, but it can be a goldmine of opportunity with inventory available in abundant supply.

Some rules of thumb when buying used books:

Avoid these:

• cookbooks
• fiction books in general
• any “book club” books
• any reprints of popular books (look for first editions)
• encyclopedias
• mass market paperbacks

Buy these instead:

• obscure non-fiction
• plain looking books (no fancy covers or graphics)
• old art books
• hobbyist books (older is better)

Keep in mind that you make your money when you BUY your inventory…not when you sell it! This means you should check the recently closed auctions on eBay, or recent sell prices on Amazon.com before investing in a title for resell.  Any web enabled cell phone can do the job. Just go to amazon.com for example and do a title search to see current pricing. Once you get serious about the biz there are automated ways to scan and price check multiple books per minute while browsing a stack of potential inventory.

Finding inventory to sell can be as easy as placing a free craigslist.com ad in your local town. For example, and ad that says “I pay cash for quality, used, first edition books. Call at me ###-####”, will likely produce good results and costs you nothing to try.
