OPTIONAL OFFER: Let’s get personal…(politics, religion, parenting, marriage, finding God’s purpose etc.)

By Jim

I don’t try to hide my beliefs from anyone, but I also don’t blatantly throw them in anyone’s face either. At the central core of everything I do in business and life is a solid belief in God’s purpose and calling on my life. It’s who I am…but I don’t expect you to agree with me of course!

BUT THAT SORT OF CONVERSATION MAY NOT BE FOR YOU…and I respect that.

This is the last time I “go there” if you don’t want to hear about it…

My business and marketing ideas will work for ANYONE even if you don’t share the same beliefs I do about life, religion, politics, parenting etc. and I promise to keep those things to myself as best I can in my newsletter and even on this blog.

BUT….

If you ARE interested in hearing more about how those topics are central to my success (in my opinion) and you want to talk about these sorts of things with me and others (I promise we won’t always agree either), then listen up…

I’ve just launched a new email list that will give you details on how we can interact on such things. I’m gauging the interest level. Here’s how to join the list:

May be dangerous territory…but that’s what the Christian life is all about…living on the edge and trusting God.  Looking forward to this!

Very cool Jim.  I am looking forward to interacting with you as well.  I really admire fellow Christians who humbly give God the glory for their blessings as you have been doing for years!

    Hi Jim,

Most interesting.  I willing to stick my toe in the “waters of life” and see what develops.  Should be interesting if nothing else.

May I make a comment from the opposing side? I had a feeling you were religious and I barely know you! No, actually, I don’t know you at all! I do appreciate your frankness on the subject. It really continues to surprise me how successful and intelligent people can cling to arcane practices. Please consider that statement no more of an insult to you than the insults non believers have to put up with on a daily basis! Having God inserted into my pledge is an insult for instance. Pardon my forthrightness, but, I am a strident defender in pushing reason, and want people to know there is a movement to grow beyond religious pandering. I don’t expect you to post this! Just practicing my freedom of speech!

Why wouldn’t I publish your comment? It’s a fair position that you have, and it explains quite well why I’m making my new email list entirely optional and open ONLY to those that are interested in such topics.

  11. The Love of Reason says

    October 24, 2011 at 11:24 pm

I am continually amused by those who think they have a monopoly on “Reason”. I have been debating atheists for years, and in EVERY instance, I find that their theology and cosmology are primarily based in emotion, which they later justify as being based solely in ration thought and reason.

And yet, the atheist who concluded his rant with the words “I don’t expect you to post this!” apparently doesn’t have enough reason or even rudimentary knowledge of Christians to know that religious people are not afraid of comments from “the opposing side”, as he calls it. We are, in fact, surrounded by “the opposing side” in virtually every news broadcast, in every public school classroom, and every university lecture. (And why is it that those who even suggest that the theory of Intelligent Design are denied tenure? See Ben Stein’s excellent “Expelled” documentary to see how those who claim to promote “reason” and “tolerance” are neither reasonable or tolerant.)

We are supposed to blindly accept the word of people like wealthy evolutionist Richard Dawkins, whose books which deny the existence of God have made him a multi-millionaire. And yet, when asked for even a SINGLE example of an instance where mutation made an organism better, (after all, this is the foundation of the theory of evolution), he stared blankly for a deafening 16 seconds, with his mouth open, until he finally said, “Can we just stop the camera?” (see the video clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaKryi3605g)

The atheist poster says, “continues to surprise me how successful and intelligent people can cling to arcane practices.” He apparently doesn’t ask himself if the success of a religious person might be as a RESULT of such practices. After all, arcane or not, doesn’t the biblical mandate to “Love your neighbor as yourself” or “Consider others more important than yourself” seem like sound business advice? How surprising can it be that such a philosophy might result in the practitioner doing well financially?

We have numerous examples of regimes where those “arcane” ideas are not practiced — Communist China, North Korea, Russia under Joseph Stalin, Germany under Adolph Hitler, Italy under Mussolini — and in every instance, people were slaughtered, sometimes by the tens of millions.

So much for a society based on “Reason”, and which eradicated belief in God, and all of the attendant “arcane practices” which go with having a Judeo-Christian society.

I, for one, am not surprised in the least about Jim’s intelligence and success going hand-in-hand with his financial success. I picked up his book at Barnes & Noble yesterday, and although I had never heard of him before, the material intrigued me enough to want to look him up online.

I glad I found him, and whether he was a believer or not, his material is quite thought-provoking and well-written. But the fact that he IS a believer intrigues me all the more, because I look forward to learning how his faith influences his his daily business decisions. In an age of scandal after scandal, I could use a healthy dose of “arcane” business practices which are rooted in something (or more correctly, Someone) who is solid as a rock.

I always wonder why atheists get so upset with Believers and want pray banded, “God” taken off our money and out of the Pledge. If they don’t believe God exists why does that matter that other pray to what atheists would consider “Nothing” I would think they would just get a good laugh at us and not be so hate filled.
Truly the fool has said in his heart their is no God.
      God Bless,

    Hi Jim,
I personally started really getting interested in what you had to say after listening to an interview you did with Rhea Perry and were very open with your beliefs.
I love that you are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus and would like to hear more.
I am just starting to learn about business and think there is a balance, but the Kingdom must always come 1st.
I want to help lots of folks, but when it comes to who I buy from – I would rather help fund kingdom purposes with  brother or sister. I have tons of stuff on my hard drive, but you being a beilever is the reason I bought the Silent Sales Machine and just got your new book just to help Pastor Ramsby.

Anyhow just my 2 cents and Thanks.
    Robert

I am interested. I just found out about the Silent Sales Machine and bought it. Needless to say as a Christian I am cautious and I am constantly guarding my heart from anything that would potentially take my heart away from God and His purpose for my life. That being said I was a little hesitant at first with my purchase but the more I read and listened to reviews about you Jim I began to feel more at ease.

I know others will have differences about this………but when I got to this link in your book it helped me to have a deeper level of trust to know that at the heart of your ministry is Jesus Christ and to help people. I am a firm believer that if you help God’s people (which we all are regardless of what many believe) God will bless us.

That has been my heart and I have seen the fruit. I see the fruit of your ministry.

I am currently a REALTOR but business is slow and I am praying and seeking God as to whatever income streams are available for me, my wife and 4 lovely children.

I believe what you are teaching is attainable with God’s grace upon me. I have been successful on eBay (Top Rated Seller and Bronze PowerSeller). I want to get going on Amazon which is where I stumbled upon you.

I have a Site Build It website (www.holocaust-history-facts.com) that have run into a wall with but it is drawing a good bit of traffic.

Sorry for the length of this post but I just wanted to touch base so you can maybe be aware of my thoughts. I am crying out to God for what direction He wants to take me.

I just want to be a blessing to Him and to whoever I am in contact with.

    Keep up the good work.

    Larry

Thanks for dropping me a comment Larry – I really appreciate it.

I do consider my business a ministry to those whom it touches. I do my best not just for my customers, but because as a Christian I answer to a higher responsibility.

      God bless your efforts-

      Jim
