Become a Highly-Paid Small Business Marketing Consultant: Generate Leads That Become Customers On Auto-Pilot

By Jim

I write a lot about lead generation and follow up strategies in this blog.

This article will re-introduce you (I’ve talked about it before) to the fastest, easiest and most affordable way to capture, follow up with, & convert prospects into customers. It’s called “Instant Customer Revolution” and it’s about to “re-launch” because of the improvements they’ve made.

Who can use “Instant Customer Revolution”? Small business owners online and off, entrepreneurs, authors, experts, speakers, consultants (listen up OfflineBiz.com members!) & coaches can use this system to grow their business or email list quickly, easily and affordably.

Get the details here

So, what are some of my qualifications to teach you about lead generation and follow up?

I’m quite familiar with all of the tools and services in this arena because of my founding role at OfflineBiz.com.   OfflineBiz has 11,000+ members all focused around one goal. The common goal? Learning to assist businesses online and off with the ever changing rules of online marketing. People with these basic skills are in high demand. I’ve also been paid very well for a few hours of my time on many occasions in order to educate businesses on these concepts.

In my best seller, “Free Marketing: 101 Low and No-Cost Ways To Grow Your Business Online & Off” I spent a lot of time talking about automating customer acquisition using creative tools.  At the time I wrote that book, “Instant Customer Revolution” was not yet fully developed, but it was “in the works” and I knew what Mike Koenigs and his developers had planned (it’s genius). The good news is this tool has been available for awhile now, so there are plenty of success stories (many of these success stories are members of OfflineBiz.com so I know them very well).

Details you need to know:

  • “Revolution” launches Tuesday May 29th at noon PST
  • If you buy “Revolution” using the link on this blog you get free access for life to join the 11,000+ members of OfflineBiz.com (that’s my bonus to you). Just email us your order number (the form to submit your order number, name and email is below) and we’ll get you taken care of.

The only problem is that the all in one box is only available to the first 500 people, all of which are on Mike’s early bird list. I would like to buy through your link, and get lifetime access to offline.biz, but I might not get the all in one box if I do.

Will your link be available for the early bird launch which takes place 3 hours before the actual launch?

Become a “consultant with no experience”.  (But don’t use that as the lead headline in your prospecting materials!)

Well, why not?  On the Interweb, no one knows you’re a dog.

I’m not vouching for the webcopy that was chosen to sell IC. I’m vouching for the tool that I’ve been watching closely as it’s developed and improved for the last 4 years.

I agree, Jim – but you start at the bottom and you work for someone who is responsible for the quality of your work – and who prevents you from making horrendous mistakes.  You have some track record before you call yourself a “consultant”.

Good Lord, don’t words mean *anything* on the Interweb?

I’m not sure I agree with your entire premiss.

I started calling myself a consultant in 1994 with zero “real world” experience. I charged $50 an hour to help clients with basic network set up and database development. If I got in over my head I studied and learned what I needed to know. If I couldn’t figure it out for a client I didn’t charge them and I referred them to someone else. With the Internet came communities of support that can make nearly anyone a serious “consultant” with very little real world experience.

I’m a big fan of giving yourself a serious title that stretches you a bit and then earning it as you go (you can’t do this with all titles obviously, but with titles like “author”, “consultant”, “coach” etc. it does work). You only hurt yourself if you fail to do it right, but with the proper resources behind you, and the proper determination, nearly anyone can. If anyone lacks commitment or drive though, they don’t belong on my blog (I’m not saying that about you, but it’s a basic part of what I expect from my readers because I’m not here to motivate…I’m here to educate and equip)
The most powerful component of OfflineBiz is the discussion for area where members solve each others problems constantly. Why learn all there is to know on a subject when you have a huge group of experts you can lean on at any given time?

I hope this makes sense…it’s how I see the world.

          • Brian Taylor says

            May 28, 2012 at 2:53 pm

“You only hurt yourself if you don’t do it right.”  Really?  I take a $5000 check from a client (who we’re quite sure doesn’t know I’m a complete noob) and my amateurish efforts produce no results for them…so who gets hurt?

          • Jim Cockrum says

            May 28, 2012 at 3:01 pm

your reputation gets hurt… unless of course you give a refund (as you should), but I’ve yet to encounter this scenario among the 11,000 members of offlinebiz.com. Proper expectations are set first before it would ever get to this point.

Oh boy, another thousand dollar product from Koenigs! Forget lead gen, follow his own “sock it to ’em” sales model.

    • Jim Cockrum says

      May 28, 2012 at 1:33 pm

I don’t base my recommendations on the person, the price tag, the promotional strategies etc.

I base my recommendations on one thing. I ask this question:

Is this a product that will produce results based on MY first hand experience with it and based on evidence directly from those using it (outside of the “inner circle” that created it)? If so, I endorse it. If not, or if I’m not sure, then I don’t endorse it.

The fact is, no one has put more time and effort into developing cutting edge lead generation and follow up tools online than Mike and his team has. He could be selling this from an ugly website with no video and I’d say the same thing. From the project manager up I know the team behind IC and trust them. For those in the proper position to take advantage of what IC can do, you’d be foolish not to use it.

The main point is this though-
Don’t ever mistake my endorsements of a product for anything other than exactly what it is. It’s not a character reference, it’s not a favor to a friend, and it’s not advertising. While I do get paid affiliate commissions for my endorsements, I have an obligation to my readers alone and I choose my endorsements carefully. My reputation reflects this commitment. I don’t promote junk at any price, and since IC is fantastic, it’s worth the price
      tag.

Jim, Signed up using your affiliate link. Enter the download page, get the 11MB pdf file (reading through it still, 300 pages, loading slowly due to its graphic background). Read the comments from users. Just wonder why there is any question from the floor, all the comments are so “positive” until it gave the impression comments have been regulated. Jim, hope you are betting on the right horse to endorse this product. You are putting your 10+ years good reputation on this product.

    • Jim Cockrum says

      May 28, 2012 at 8:28 pm

I’ve already endorsed an earlier version of this product and I now work closely with the project manager to be kept up to date on the improvements.
      It’s solid.

I don’t take endorsements lightly – that’s why they are so rare with me.

  5. Mike Koenigs says

    May 28, 2012 at 11:18 pm

Hi – it’s Mike Koenigs here. Jim’s always been a good friend of mine, always done right and many of our incredible success stories (heroes and all-stars) are members of OfflineBiz.com. He contacts me when he hears of or sees someone who’s making things happen – an example of this is George Thompson who lost his job in the mobile space and took a part-time job working for Papa John’s Pizza…and wound up using mobile marketing to increase his bosses’ business.

Now he’s in discussions with Papa John’s national – and also Ford Motors regional. He’s got a couple 7-figure deals on the table.

That relationship began HERE. Right on Jim’s web site.So here’s why I was motivated to write. I’m actually weirded out by the cynicism I’ve read here and I’m going to add my $0.02.We all start at square zero. We all make mistakes. When I started doing business consulting, I was 16 years old. I’m 46 as of the time I’m writing this message. When I began, I did the best I could with the knowledge, tools and resources I had. And by the time I was in my mid-30’s, I sold my first company, Digital Cafe, to a billion dollar, publicly-traded advertising agency, Campbell-Mithun Esty (now Campbell-Mithun) which is owned by IPG – the InterPublic Group. To some, I must have looked like a superhero. But looking back, I didn’t know my head from my arse. We were one of the first “cutting edge” multimedia companies in the world.  And I guarantee you, I’ll most likely feel the same way when I look back ten years from now.The point I’m trying to make is we’re all newbies at some point. But we make a decision to do or be something bigger. And that’s a DECISION. A decision to have impact, make a difference and change some lives through SERVICE.What’s the first step to be a consultant? Take on the identity, declare to the world you’re a consultant and start doing it.I’ve seen people with 40 years of experience who can’t solve a simple problem that someone with six months experience can. So who’s the expert? The solution? In my opinion, it’s being surrounded by an abundance-minded community of peers like the one Jim has created at OfflineBiz.com.The tools don’t make the consultant, but they help.Experience is what matters most – but experience can be quickly modeled when it’s combined with the right tools, training, community and feedback. The best way to learn is to model the best. Practice, practice, practice. Implement. Collect proof. Refine. Put in your 10,000 hours. And it starts with hour #1.I’ll go on record – and I have years of physical irrefutable proof (much of it in the book I’ve given away) that the people who’ve gone through our programs have accelerated their success in 12 months that would have taken people without the tools 3-5 years or longer. And it’s not a fluke – it’s repeatable and consistent. And there are many examples of this including Kristen Moore, Fireman Mike Lemoine, Jessica Brace, Jean Scally, Jason Smith, Michelle Edwards, Barry Schimmel, John Cote and Leon Marinus. With the exception of Mike (who started about 2 years ago and is on track to have a 7-figure year), almost all of these people started less than a year ago and have built six-figure businesses.Cynicism doesn’t pay the bills – it’s hard work and practice. But it all starts with putting a stake in the ground, making a decision and modeling the best. And if you think the product stinks, ask for your money back. You have 30 days to do it.Thanks for all your support, Jim. You’re one of the good ones.

    Your friend,
    Mike

Does anyone know when the all in one box will arrive?  Do we have to wait until the refund period is over or is it available immediately?  Thanks!

The box is shipped a couple days after you order. If you request a refund you have to return it. I’ve been told they still have plenty of the “all in one” boxes and will take care of all my customers.

Hey Jim, I’ve been going nuts trying to find that “List of questions” one should be asking their prospective client. You gave us a link to it, during a webinar, and I have it in one of my folders, in one of my computers or hard drives, but I can’t find it. I’m going blind looking through all my files, could I induce you to, Please let us have it again? My tired old eyes will  say a prayer for you. Thanks…

Instant Customer is a TOOL…not training (although it does come with training on how to use the tool). Many members of OfflineBiz.com use the IC tool to help generate leads and automate follow up for their business clients. It’s cutting edge in it’s approach to capturing and following up with leads.
